Apple became the first company to have a market cap topping $3 trillion
Apple’s market cap topped $3 trillion on Friday, as shares rose about 1% to a new high and passed the $190.73 price required to hit the milestone, according to CNBC’s most recent share count.
Apple was the first company to hit a $3 trillion market cap during intraday trading in January 2022, but it failed to close at that level. It has another shot to do that on Friday.

Twitter has removed labels describing global media organizations as government-funded or state-affiliated, a move that comes after the Elon Musk-owned platform started stripping blue verification checkmarks from accounts that don’t pay a monthly fee.
Among those no longer labeled was National Public Radio in the US, which announced last week that it would stop using Twitter after its main account was designated state-affiliated media, a term also used to identify media outlets controlled or heavily influenced by authoritarian governments, such as Russia and China.

Shoppers Drug Mart eliminates ‘pink tax’ on menstrual pain medication following CBC investigation
Shoppers Drug Mart is taking action following an investigation by CBC’s Marketplaces that found painkillers labeled as a treatment for menstrual cramps cost more than near-identical painkillers marketed for headaches and other pain.
The drugstore’s parent company, Loblaw, told Marketplaces over email on March 15 that it “recognizes the importance of equity and access and will align the price of these products within a week.”
As of March 24, more than a week after that email was sent, online prices were aligned but inconsistent across stores in the Greater Toronto Area.
